DUAL SPARE TIRE EXTENSION INSTRUCTIONS
Thread on the extension as shown, screwing it down to a point
where the set screw will be over the original rod threads. Tighten the set screw just enough to be snug.
Remember the extension threads are brass. The set screw is 1/4-20 NC. if you need to ever replace it.

When both tires are on, and the washer positioned, you should have ample threads showing for the cap nut to screw
on to. This can be adjusted by removing the tires, and turning the extension.
The purpose of the washer is so the cap nut puts pressure on the bearing sleeve, not the hub. This will prevent the
wheel from revolving and loosening the cap nut. If you modify the luggage rack to be used with this setup, the
washer will not be needed. It will be like the stock setup.

Put one of the stock rubber washers flat side up over the hub bearing to keep off water and install the
cap nut and tighten. The washer will float loose on the hub bearing.
