SPOT LIGHT installation

MOUNTING THE LIGHT

The most important part of locating the light is that , if you have a windshield

or may have one planned, place it to the front enough to clear it when the windshield is

all the way forward.  About 2 1/2 inches between the back of the base and the apron loop.

After marking where you want the light, first center punch and cut a center hole of 5/8 to 1 inch

to clear the nut and allow for the wiring. It is recommended that you use a hole saw for this because

large drills have a tendency to grab when going through sheet metal.

When the center hole is cut, position and square up the base. Mark the bolt holes with scratch awl

and set the light aside.

Next, center punch the markings and pilot drill with a 1/8, then drill the with a 5/16 twist drill.

Then de-bur them inside and out.

A bead of silicone sealant around the center hole is recommended. Thread through the wiring

and set the light in position. Bolt up the base to the hack body, and tighten up the nuts.

ELECTRICAL

The light should be wired with a push in terminal on the positive (white) and a loop terminal

on the negative (black). The push in terminal can be connected to a spare on the fuse block

in the hack tub. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A 20 AMP FUSE INSTALLED. ( all my spares were 5 amp)

The loop should be terminated to the ground screw in the terminal box.

If you do not have power to the tub, check our wiring diagrams   or contact us.

We can email you instructions and a schematic for your installation. No charge.
